am I missing an option box somewhere? I assign objectIDs to my geo, let's say, a car, with many parts, and IDs are assigned to several objects. I select the entire car, and export the whole group as a vray proxy. All shaders work fine and all is good in the world...except for my multimatte pass, which is black, because none of my objectIDs have carried over to the vray proxy mesh.
Ok, I understand, it's a single mesh, feeding a single shape node now, and the objectID is connected to the shape node. I was just hoping the objectID assigned to all those shape nodes of the car would be embedded in the mesh, just as the shader assignments are.
I look to you, my friends in lighting, what shall I do, other than create separate materials for each object, so I can materialID them instead.
