  • Vray FB window dissapears

    Hi,
this is a very common situation , basically the Vray VFB window disapears form the Maya session and its impossible to have it back.
Any work around.... its quite annoying.
Using Vray 2.0004 with Maya 2012.
    Thanks,
    Alex.

This happens to me, but usually only without have done any render, I got it from the first render on. Or you say after the first one?

In this situation, I'd recommend to right click in the task bar on the vfb window, select "resize/replace/position (don't have an english system, so don't know the exact worlds)", press left or right arrow on the keyboard any you should have the window hanging on your mouse pointer. That should do it for you.

I also don't know, what exactly is going on there but the window seems to get resized to a very very tiny size from time to time.

This works for me in other builds:

              Hi Zdravko,
              we are using Win7.
Maybe need to install new weekly build, but I am in teh middle of a big production and not sure if it is a good idea to update to a newer build ....

If this is the only issue, then it's probably not a good idea

Other than that, we can sometimes reproduce the issue here and we'll look into it.

                Best regards,

@alexitoland: can you describe the exact actions you take when this usually happens? Does it disapear just by itself or perhaps you minimize the VFB and then when maya gets restarted later you cannot restore it?

                    Hi Emil,
its disapears just by itself. Randomly , no specials actions.
                    Best,
                    Alex.

I have this too from time to time and a few times not even the "alt"+"space" -> "move" trick works....wouldn't it be the easiest way to to just limit position and size of the vfb so that it cannot go offscreen or get 0 pixels in size?
