  • Purple Reflections turn blue after tracing

Maybe this is physically correct, but I would like to counteract it. I have to use a lavender color chrome on a car headlight I am rendering. As you can see in the attached pic, as the rays trace, they turn blue. I have tried other colors and do not have this color-change issue. At worst other colors seem to darken a bit.

Does anyone know of a way I can keep the refection its original color? Thanks for any help

you may just need a material override for your reflection material...

you're welcome ... the reflection override material is used only when vray traces a ray that has been reflected from a surface already...for the first ray that comes from your camera (the eye-ray) it uses the original material...as for any other raytype as well...but you could adjust that too if needed...for example refraction rays or GI rays...
