  • EXRs won't render in batch mode

Has anyone else had a problem where exr files won't render in batch mode?

I'm trying to render a 250 frame animation. I'm not using multi-layer exrs. Just standard exr files set at 16bits in the image format options box. Whenever I hit the VFB it looks fine and renders beautifully. When I batch render though and open those files in photoshop (or after effects) they are just blank transparent images. No content at all even though the size of the images is several MB large. Also when I try to batch render using Qube as my render manager the same thing happens. Blank EXRs.

When I switch the image format to .tif instead of EXR everything works fine which leads me to believe its some vray/exr problem.

Anyone know a solution to this? Has anyone seen anything like it before?

I take it back. Anything without an alpha shows up in Photoshop as transparent. It doesn't add a mask it just doesn't show up at all. In after effects I only thought there wasn't anything either since it automatically hid everything in the alpha (the entire shot) without me asking.

    Apologies.
