  • Seams between displacement maps

    hi guys

    I have a problem here.

I have 1 object and 2 materials. The 2 materials have displacement maps. (1 displ. for each material)
Now i see a "seam" between the 2 displacement maps. i thought the flag "Disp. keep continuity" would prevent a seam like that.

I applied the same in Modo and there is no seam between the 2 displacement maps...the displacement maps are fine.

    Thanks for any help

depending on what kind of seam and what kind of map. If your map is not 32 bit float, then the seam may be the cause of filtering of the map. Reducing the bitmap blur will help in that regard. There is also another way to apply displacement for example using vray multisubtex to assign the maps.
