  • GI Caustics will not be generated if the "Visible In Refraction" un-checked.

    With VRayMaya 2.20.01.
GI Caustics will not be generated if the "Visible In Refraction" status of a Refraction object is un-checked.
(A problem does not occur in VRayMaya 2.00.01.)

    Please fix.

This is not a bug; it is because of a fix for an issue called "Incorrect shadow casting when disabling Visible in refractions option". This is how things should work (and it matches the behavior of V-Ray in 3ds Max).

    Best regarads,

      Ok. understood.
I'll tell to my customer that "Visible In Refraction" is checked.

      Note of all.
OBJ impoter of maya unchecks "Visible In Reflection/Refraction" by a default.

If you want to get the same effect as before you can turn off the "cast shadows" option for the plane, or you can turn on the "affect shadows" option in the refraction section of the material.

OBJ impoter of maya unchecks "Visible In Reflection/Refraction" by a default.
Yes, this is an old Maya issue...

        Best regards,
        Vlado
