Empty buckets

We keep having a reoccurring problem with a certain pass in 1.5 and 2.0. The problem pass is a glossy reflection of car lights. Certain buckets have no information in them at all. We are using adaptive dmc 1 100 and .008 as out settings. I have dropped bucket size to 8 from 64 and the buckets are still hit and miss. I didn't do a search on here so if this is a duplicate post I apologize.

If you set your dmc to 2-100, do you have the same problem ?

I have taken min to 5 with dmc and fixed rate at 10 and still get the issue. The only solve we have is run the layer 5 times and then max all the passes in nuke with frame blend of 3 to get a usable pass.

actually making buckets larger should fix the problem. Lowering the adaptive amount may also help.
