  • Couples weird things

    Hello,
After completing 2 short movies , using Vray 2.20.01 on windows XP pro and Maya 2009 , i came accross a couple weird things behaviour:

    First one :
Checking The Check sample visibility seems to bring up some black splotches/artefacts:

1st image with check sample visibility OFF , 2nd with ON
This is the only parameter that changed beetween the two frames.

    Second one:
When creating a Character pass , i tried to put all the set (classroom) in a VrayObjectProperties , activated Matteshadow but then it seems the set doesn't cast shadows anymore.

    Maybe i am doing/expecting something wrong ?

The check sample visibility is somewhat picky about the scene scale; in your case, what is the size of the scene?

There is an option called "No GI on other mattes" in the V-Ray object properties, which you can try toggling.

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
