  • Per object colour overrides.....

I was just wondering what would be the easiest way to use one shader for hundreds of scattered objects, but have them different colours?

I've done similar in the past in renderman using primVariables but is there an equivalent in vray? One work around I've thought is assigning each object a random vertex colour and outputting that to a render element or piping it into the diffuse colour of the shader....

    Anyone else got any suggestions?

    Cheers
    Martin

    Yes you can.
    It is "user attributes".
On last nightlies, you can add you own customs attributes.
