Just a quick question. If I have 1 object with V-Ray displacement that is instanced 100 times. Will V-Ray now tessellate only once then instance this? I wasn't sure if it was fixed recently.
Since displacement tesellation is view-dependent and object-scale dependent, V-Ray can't really instance it. F.e. if you have one instance close to the camera, and another one far away, how would this be tessellated? Same if one instance is scaled up and the other down. If you need that much detail with instances, better make a proxy out of a detailed mesh.
