  • Previewing skydome in viewport...

I feel like I used to be able to preview the vray skydome in the viewport. I can't anymore. Even though viewport display is enabled. What am I missing? The Maya "textured" button is toggled on for this viewport but I still can't preview the dome. Any ideas why that might be happening and how to get it to preview in the viewport again?

    Thanks!

Are you mapping a hdr image or a procedural texture like a ramp? In the case of procedural the preview doesn't show anything. Not sure if this is intended.

Before I was using an hdr image now I'm using a ramp. That must be the difference. Thanks!

Currently VRayLightRect can show procedural textures in Maya 2012 and above, and if it proves to work well, we can implement it for the dome light too.

Hi, is this option in the latest stable? or is it in the nightlies?
if in the stable how do I get it to work?
          Thanks,

I think it's only in the nightlies. It still has some small issues.

I'll wait for it in the stable.
