Unfortunately this workflow is not going to work with this setup at the moment. In order to get same result with render elements and beauty pass, at this stage, you have to uncheck "Receive GI" for the matted object.
Our developers are working on option, which will give an opportunity to use GI for matted surfaces in post-production. Probably this will be new render element.

Thanks for digging into this issue. Disabling "Receive GI" does get the comp-ed render elements matched to the beauty. Hopefully it's with the new option and potentially new render element, we not only have the control but also the comp-ed result matches beauty.
Is this feature gonna be a huge task or it's something that we see soon in the nightly builds?
