    Vlado,

Have you figured something out what is causing the difference between comp result and the beauty?
    always curious...

I think so, but I got sidetracked into other things; I'm looking into this again now.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

Sounds good. I've sent you the EXRs that can re-create the issue via email yesterday. If you need me to re-send it, just let me know. I look forward to seeing what you found.

          Vlado,

Have you sorted out if this is a Vray issue in terms of the shadow/mattesshadow pass for matte objects or a compositing issue?
          always curious...

I had been meaning to come back to this thread actually, just sidetracked with work but I intend on doing a mm/lighting reel at some point (for fun).

              Hi Jason,
Unfortunately this workflow is not going to work with this setup at the moment. In order to get same result with render elements and beauty pass, at this stage, you have to uncheck "Receive GI" for the matted object.
Our developers are working on option, which will give an opportunity to use GI for matted surfaces in post-production. Probably this will be new render element.
I hope this information helps you!

                Hi Tashko,

Thanks for digging into this issue. Disabling "Receive GI" does get the comp-ed render elements matched to the beauty. Hopefully it's with the new option and potentially new render element, we not only have the control but also the comp-ed result matches beauty.
Is this feature gonna be a huge task or it's something that we see soon in the nightly builds?
