  • SDK driven shading attribute issue

VRay seems to have a viewport update problem when a shader attribute, i.e. color, is remotely changed with SDK.
I have set up a sample scene where an enum attribute is supposed to let the user switch between several pre-defined color setups. The first sphere has a regular maya material and the other a vray material. The enum attribute controls the color of both shaders via SDK.
When switching between the colors the lambert updates just fine and presents the new color in the viewport, the vray shaded sphere doesn't show a change - until rendered. In the hypershade the materials update just fine during the switching.

Any ideas if this is supposed to be this way or what could be wrong here?

    Thanks, Ingo

Can you tell me how exactly you are changing the colors?

    Best regards,

      Hi Vlado,

      thanks for replying.
I've tried to attach a zip file to the post but the thing didn't let me Here's the link the an external file which is the sample scene I mentioned.

It's just a simple SDK from a transform nodes enum attribute to the shader color.

      Thanks, Ingo
