  • Motion Blur with DR problem

Hi, all. When rendering a single frame of an animation with MoBlr enabled the frame I'm on walks itself forward on the Time Slider proportionately to the shutter speed of the camera. This is normally moot as it always resets itself when the rendering ends. However, when using DR the frame skips forward as before but it doesn't reset itself. In my case, with a shutter of 1/4s the current frame moves forward by 6 frames each time i do a test render.

I deleted my geo and replaced it with some boxes and left everything else as-is just to see what happens and it's still fouled up. Feel free to test the scene and let me know what gives - you'll have to replace my render slaves with your own. Maya 2012, vray4maya latest stable build.

Hi, Vlado. No problem. Is it normal for Vray to do this frame slide in maya when motion blur is enabled? I recently switched from 3dsmax and i don't recall that behavior.

Yes, it's normal. In 3ds Max we do a similar thing for V-Ray RT. We don't do it for the production renderer, although I think it would have saved us a lot of issues if we did
