  • Mapping the uvCoord of a place2dtexture does not work

    Hi,
I try to map the UVCoord of a place2Dtexture on Vray but it doesn't work (work on MayaSoftware and MR).
Here the technique with examples scene : http://www.sigillarium.com/blog/lang/en/318/

Is it possible to fix this ?
    Thanks.

Mapping the translateU/translateV parameters works fine for me. However I connected the outColor.R attributes to the translateU/translateV parameters. If you want to use the outAlpha parameter, you'll need to turn on the "Alpha Is Luminance" in the Color Balance section of the Noise textures.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Further to that, if you want to map the U and V coordinates, directly connect the respective outputs of the ramp to the uvCoords of the texture that you want to modify - not to the uvCoords of the 2d placement. The reason being, the uvCoords of the placement are output parameters, if you connect another output parameter to them, V-Ray doesn't know what to do with it.
