  • Tile rendering : GI difference

    Hi,
Because i can not use distributed rendering, i have rendered an image tiled (not with -reg flag, i use a plane in front of the camera to hide all, and delete one "face" to render what i want (yeaaaah, french trick)).
After, i merged all "tiles" in nuke to have my final image.
    The problem is the GI:

    I tried GI :
    - irradiance map (simple frame) + LC (retrace threshold)
    - irradiance map (bucket mode) + Brute force (a little better but the problem is always here)

    Same result.
I don't want to use brute force + brute force (too long).
    What is the solution ?
    Thanks.

The solution is to do what V-Ray does for DR automatically: first calculate irradiance maps for each tile, merge them with the irradiance map viewer, and then use the saved irradiance map for the final rendering.

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
