  • VRay Subdivision Issue

    Hi,

I'm having a VRay Subdivision issue with my geometry. When i use the
vray subdivision, it destroys my uv's. I noticed however, that if I triangulate the geometry,
it works fine. Any ideas? I'm using VRay 2.00.01

If I triangulate the geometry the subdivision works:

    Things I've tried:

Running Mesh Cleanup with pretty much everything checked. I first noticed that
triangulating the geometry makes it work, when running the mesh cleanup - fix
by tesselation - non-planar faces. Also the mesh cleanup - fix by tesselation -
4-sided faces makes it work, but it triangulates my geometry. I'd like to keep
my geo quadrangulated. I've tried deleting history, exporting the geo as an .obj
and importing it back in. Any more ideas or thoughts would be very welcomed.

    Thank you,
    Patrick

Also, I've tried quadrangulating the geo after running the cleanup,
and it goes back to being messed up.

do you have history turned on and your UVs are animating per frame. Sometimes that happens if the uvproject nodes are still there and your object is animating.

also try texture reference object with your object at its default position.

Yea no luck there. UV's are not animating. I tried with the history on and off, as well as testing the texture
        reference object.Thanks tho.

Upgrading to 2.20.01 fixed the problem.
