So I added a scatter fog material to a cone and it appears to work as expected when I shine a rect. light on the cone. It looks like a volumetric beam of light. Now how do I add a texture to the thickness/ density of it? Am I supposed to use Scatter Fog with some other material or node? Or do I have to use the environment Fog and apply that to the Vray-Mtl volume slot. . . which renders much slower?
