  • realflow bin converted to vrmesh, negative scale in X?

I've noticed that my vrmesh that I created with ply2vmesh has been flipped in the x axis?
is this a feature I configured incorrectly or is this a bug?
    this was my command (OSX)
    /Applications/ChaosGroup/V-Ray/Maya2012-x64/bin/ply2vrmesh "/Volumes/PROJECTDATA/b/blastradius/nikon/films/2_creation/realflow/ballon_v105/meshes/ParticleMesh_ST01_*.bin" -fps 25.0 -smoothNormals

    nothing weird, right?

This problem is already known, we discussed it here :
    http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...-Normals/page2

Here is the dirty workaround we currently use, until it is fixed :
-Use this ply2vrmesh option : -flipYPosZ
-Then apply this on the object, after you have imported the vrmesh : RotateY = -90 RotateZ = -90

        Beware, I'm everywhere

It's useful that you talked about that ply2vmesh problem, maybe it could increase the priority of the bug fix.
