  • Multiple shave&haircut nodes issue

    Hi,

    I sometimes get a strange behavior when rendering multiple shave nodes : in the viewport everything seems fine, but at render time the hairs will appear at the same place, just like they've been grown on the wrong shape. Once "broken", a scene is not renderable anymore and I have to rebuild it from scratch. It can be helpful to reaffect different shaders on the shaveDisplay nodes, but not always …

    Here is a test scene with hairs (red) and eyebrows (green), can you confirm that you get the same result ?

    When looking at the scene graph, and the generated plugin nodes in the vrscene, everything seem equivalent between the two hairs, so I have no clue for the moment.

    Tried on :
    system - OSX SnowLeopard 10.6.8
    maya - 2012 sp1
    vray - 22001 to 22501
    shave - 6.0v33 to 6.0v72

      Hi Vlado,

      I had to upload it on wikisend since the scene size is over the quota, it's the link "octave_asset.ma", just above the two screenshots, sorry about that
