    Hey guys,

I am currently running into a error that are causing my frames to crash.

    Hi,

Is it possible to send us an example scene that reproduces the error, the mail is support@chaosgroup.com
Also will be helpful if you include an information about the Maya and V-Ray versions.

I am also getting some interesting errors, the invalid geo normal im sure is from my displacement. But as for the other one, I have no clue.

The two errors are probably related; unfortunately without a scene it's hard to say what's going on. It's possible that just one object in the scene causes this and maybe it has some corrupted geometry in it - if you manage to find it, it might be helpful to send just that object (or a part of it that still shows the error).

          Best regards,
          Vlado

I am trying to go through and isolate geo to find the culprit but the "<unknown>". part is too helpful. Is there any way of it listing the name of the object?

              Hi,

Do you render through render manager or locally?
Do you have any dynamic geometry in the scene, like Hair, displacement, proxies ...
Did you try to set a simple V-Ray material in the Override material slot?
If the suggestions above doesn't make any difference you can try to debug the scene geometry by deleting some parts of it, one by one.

Note that you can always send us the scene file or stripped down version to support@chaosgroup.com and we will try to help.
