  • Vraydirt 'Result affect' attribute

i simply can't figure out how to connect 'sets' to this attribute in maya. there is a 'map' button next at the end of this attribute. then it's greyed-out. i just want to include/exclude certain set of objects from vraydirt calculation. i just realized that it's not like max way. please advise me on this.

    Hi,

You can use "Sets" to exclude objects from V-Ray Dirt map.
I made a simple scene file and screenshot to illustrate the effect.

thanks a lot for your samples. but your files seem to use vray 2.25.01, which i don't have. i can't find the extra attribute called 'ex' (Exclude in your capture image on the rightmost attribute window) in 2.20.01 version. actually i was trying to connect the 'usedBy' to 'resultAffect' before i put my question here. that obviously didn't do anything.

        Example_Maya2012_V-Ray2.zip

I hope this will work fine in your environment.
