  • Bug: Restore mesh shaders

    Hi there,

When using "Create a mesh from this proxy", I have found that the "Reassign shaders" does not work on objects that originally had per face shading assignments.

      Hi,

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but is this a possibility of being fixed for the main 3.0 release? I'm not on the beta and can't find info about it.
It would be super cool to restore some big meshes without any integreity loss from our library perfectly.

We'll see; this feature was very experimental when we coded it, we have not really put much effort into it. Some information is lost when the mesh is converted to a proxy, it has never been our goal to strive towards 100% restoration.

        Best regards,
        Vlado

Just noticed this was fixed in one of the nightlies.

Thank you Chaos Devs! We all so very much appreciate the work you guys put into making V-Ray even better.
