  • Compiling Geometry takes ages once GI is reading from file.

I have quite a busy scene with a simple camera move in. Settings are fine, quite long but theres alot of glass and liquid. Anyway my problem is after baking the IR map every 50 frames or so then switching to from file it takes ages to Compile geometry?

Can anyone shed some light on why this may be happening. The IR map is 450MB with a LC file too. It renders fine until I switch to from file.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your help Svetlozar. I guess for the benefit of anyone else following this post we should say it was dealt with via email. Not much help I here you say but we didn't reach a conclusion as such. I have a continual battle with my server and farm (More like alotment) at work and my problem could be down to that.

Although it is strange as this is the second job this has happened on when I've baked the IR map.

If you discover anything in the mean time Svetlozar with my scene I'd be happy to know or if there was anything else you think I could do to make my scene render quicker. I don't personally see how I can go any lower with my settings or reduce scene size, it's already two steps from being a lambert and a light.
