  • VRayEdges skip rendering smooth edges?

    Hi there,

I just wish for an option in VRayEdges to be able set it so that one can render hard edges, but skip rendering soft edges....or even vice versa.

Of course as of now, one could always just delete soft edges, but in the case of the mesh above, this is not possible as it creates invalid mesh (for maya).

Would this be something that would be possible please?

Edit: My apologies, I posted in problems rather than the Wishlist!

I see. Actually that is what the edgesTex is intended to do. Will consider this. In the meantime wouldn't it be easier to use vrayToon - it practically does exactly that and you can use it as a set to include/exclude objects from it?

Thanks Yolov, unfortunately vrayToon will not work for this particular scene, there are more complicated bits of geo with hard and soft edges, I also like to use edges in this case for the diffuse channel and reflection channel in this particular case.

Thanks again though for considering this!
