  • Image plane with physical camera

    Hello there peeps,

What's the best way to have a image plane not effected by the physical camera properties? (Besides putting the image on a plane and constraining it to the camera) It's awkward when your trying to match you render to the backplate.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello there,

Could you please give us more information about what are you trying to achieve, a sample scene will be very helpful.
The easiest way to ignore camera properties is to assign the image as a background and turn of Affect Background check-box into Color Mapping rollout.

You just answered my question thanks. I was being a little dumb. I was applying the physical camera properties to the same camera that had the image plane attached to it.

You can render the image plane on separate layer and use Render All Layers option in render settings.
