  • vray environment variable error vray maya 2014, nightly build vray_22501_23192

Hi were getting the following error on our renderfarm with vray for maya 2014
we'vetried reinstalling, checked the env variables where we found minor differences in back and forward slashes

    2012:
    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2012/vray/vrayplugins
    2014:
    C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2014\vray\vrayplugins

we even changed these slashes the 2014 env's to match the 2012 ones

so could this be in the nightly build?
we like to update our maya to 2014 but we need vray so any news on a official release?

    Starting "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2014\bin\mayabatch.exe"

I don't think an official release will be any different - V-Ray will still look for that environment variable and it must be defined correctly.

How do you run mayabatch? From backburner, some renderfarm software or something else? Does it run as a service or as a normal user? In both cases, are the V-Ray environment variables correctly set for that user?

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

For an official release we have to fix this bug first: http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...uted-rendering

How do start the mayabatch.exe? Are you sure these tool that starts mayabatch.exe has the same env and preserves it?
Have you logged out and then logged in after you've installed maya. Sometimes these to operations are needed in order to get a working installation.
