Vlado, I am using Windows Vista SP2
This message shows up when Maya comes up // Warning: The renderer "vray" used by this scene, is not currently available. The Maya Software renderer will be used instead. //
When I go into the Plugin Manager I cannot see the Vray plugin as an item for selection.

When you go to Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plugin manager, do you see vrayformaya.mll listed anywhere?

        Best regards,

If you cant see vray in plugin window then quit maya and reinstall vray and select workstation as option - see if that helps...

Try logging out and then back in and see if it's there. If not, it would be best to contact or support guys at vraymaya@chaosgroup.com - they will help you out.
