Hi V-Ray lovers! I am having problem getting transparency in my alpha channel.
My scene is a glass object on a backdrop lit by a HDR texture. I’d like to change the background color in compositing so I put a VRayMtlWrapper on the backdrop with a white VRay Mtl as the Base Material.
In the VRayMtlWrapper I have turned on Matte Surface, Shadows, Affect Alpha and set Alpha Contribution to -1. The glass material has Affect Shadows checked and Affects Channels set to All channels.
When I render the glass object gets cut out in the alpha but I would expect the alpha channel over the glass area to be grey due to its transparency. So in comp the “new” background color will be visible trough the glass although less saturated.
What am I doing wrong?
