    "Alpha is Illuminance" also has no effect.

    Please tell me the correct usage.

    (latest Maya2014 Nightlies is used.)

    Yep, it doens't work. It's a techical issue since you can create in this way a IOR cyclical loop. We must think more how to implement this safely. Until then you can use the 3ds Max version of VRayMtl - BRDFVRayMtl.

          I asked the customer. (reported this problem)

          He said that refraction IOR is well used when making a mirage effect.

            Is this planned currently? It has uses, for example, imperfections in glass.
