  • Projection node into VRayMtl Refraction Color

Hi, I tried searching but it seems that this isn't reported yet?

A projection node plugged into refraction color doesn't seem to work. It is ignored.

I'm using a ramp to fade out refraction.

Well as a workaround I have tried this approach (blendColors.outR > refractionColorAmount). Seems to work

It seams it works fine here with the last official Vray 2.40.01. Would it be possible to check the following setup - I've tried to replicate what you have on your side:
Ramp texture assigned into Projection node which is plugged into Refraction color slot of VrayMtl - you can see that if I reverse the RampColors I got different results.

Thank you Svetlozar, I can see the difference between our scenes is the mode of the projection node. I had mine set to triplanar - however this was the incorrect choice for my type of projection so I was getting results I didn't think should happen. So entirely my fault. Rookie error!

Thanks again for posting the scene as it has been very helpful.
