    That V-Ray standalone has crashed.
Can you tell us what have you done to make it crash?

We actually had this just recently (2.40.01). It seemed to happen because there was a UV Chooser node attached to some geometry which were pointing to a UV map that did not exist.

Fredrik Averpil: do you have a scene we can use to reproduce the problem?

I simplified the scene down to the supposedly errorous parts: segfault.zip
No textures are needed. Render this with DR enabled in V-Ray 2.40.01 in Maya 2014.

When I do this here some DR slaves get the segmentation fault - but not all of them. It seems it's more prone to crash on Linux than on Windows, but it seems a little random.

Thank you for the scene. We were able to reproduce the issue and we will try to fix it.

                hi,
did anything come to light on the segmentation error ? I'm currently having a similar issue rendering a scene with DR, it starts off ok in that the render slave starts up but then gets a segmentation error and exits . ( the render on the main machine continues , but the slave does not contribute to the render)

I think the original issue was fixed. However yours may be something else - if you can get us a reproducible case, it will be very very helpful.

                  Best regards,
                  Vlado
