VFB doesn't show anything after changing render res

Say I render at 1024x768, then I do another render at 2048x1536, the VFB won't show the new render in progress until it completes; unless I restart Maya, all it shows is white. Is there some way around this?

What version of V-Ray, Maya and OS are you using?
