Hi,
I've discovered an issue relating to the 3d snow texture, for those unfamiliar this texture uses the up normals of your geometry to apply different shaders to simulate settled snow on top of your objects. It also comes with a 3d placement node that when rotated, changes the up direction of the shader. Well it does in maya software or mental ray render, but not in Vray. I've created a complex work-around using the world normals but it gets a bit crazy when I'm now scripting a rig (for ash covering a scene, the up axis needs to change to fake wind direction) when it already exists and works in maya software.
I'll continue but it would be cool it I could simplify this later on.
thanks,
-K
