  • Velocity pass doesn't work correctly if lights, shadows and reflection are turned off

Is this a known issue? I need to get a new velocity pass quickly so I turned off lights, shadows and reflections/refraction in the global options. However with those toggled off the velocity pass is very grainy, and sharp. Looks like it hasn't been aliased. Is this supposed to happen? Is that expected behavior? Velocity should still be calculated whether the lights are turn off or not right?

    Please advise. Thanks!

all sampling is done from primary buffer. So ifs its black then it will receive min samples. What I usually do is run a utility job where all that stuff is being output from, typically its a constant vray light material with color anything other then black, like grey, or sometimes I have ramps there like XYZ ramp, that will produce proper vector data etc.
