  • 'Local' attribute on 3D textures

Hi there, we're having trouble with some 3D textures where the 'local' attribute has been set to keep the 3D textures in local space on the objects.

It doesn't seem to work, and so our textures are swimming. I'm aware we can parent the placement node to the object, but that means creating a different shader for each animated object. Is there a way we can get 'local' to work?

Can you attach an example scene?

Sure, here's one. It's the local attribute on projection1.

You can render this in Maya and Vray to see the difference. The texture ought to be the same on both objects.

Sorry, I forgot to say this is v2.40.01
