  • Batch render from Maya failing with unloaded references

    Hi,

I have files which have nested referencing, when I am unloading a few references and selecting Maya batch render option with Vray the render fails. Its shows as completed but there is no image generated if I try the same thing from command line for ex
    Code:
        "C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2013/bin/Render.exe" filename
This works fine. I investigated further and checked the logs. It seems when Maya exports a binary file and sends it to VRray for render the file gets corrupted and VRay is not able to switch the render layers. This seems to be the main issue. I have a lot of shots which are having the same issue so I am able to replace this. Any help or advice would be great.

    Maya version: Maya 2013 X64 service pack2
    Vray version: 2.45.01

    Cheers
    Kartik

Can you create a simple scene with references that reproduces the problem? And is the software renderer working with this setup?
