  • Refractive material with sss2 problem

Dont know for sure is this covered already somewhere on the forum but Im having a problem with refractive material (water) with sss2 shader.

My "back object" is having a sss2 shader. A water material object is running over it, and in some parts it makes the sss skin very dark.
I made some tests and it seems that when the intersecting object is small enough it makes the sss refraction very dark.
This might be a feature from the shaders, but wont look good and would be nice if it could prevent on somehow.

I also tried with a basic Vray material instead of the sss shader and then the refraction was the same in all areas.

It is currently an issue with the raytraced multiple scattering. This will be fixed at some point, for the moment the work-around is to use non-intersecting objects, or use f.e. the prepass mode.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
