vray 3.0 demo and yeti not working?

Just wanted to try the new vray and some of our vray2.45/yeti scenes to see if there's any speed increase, so i thought i would download the vray demo and give it a try.

But i cant get any yeti hair to render no errors at all - standard maya hair renders fine - is this a limitation of the demo? i am using the latest yeti build

No, it's not a limitation of the demo, but you might need to adjust some environment variables so that V-Ray knows where to find the Yeti plugin for V-Ray, or else just copy the file vray_pgYetiVRay.dll to the folder with the other V-Ray plugins.

The environment variable is VRAY_FOR_MAYANNNN_PLUGINS_x64 and you need to add to it the path to vray_pgYetiVRay.dll (separated from the previous contents of the variable with ';')

My bad, actually it looks like the demo really has the code for custom plugins short-circuited. It would be best if we can get you a full evaluation version.
