no '.fn2' attribute

Can anyone tell me what this error actually refers to?

You are probably trying to open a file created with a newer build of V-Ray on a machine that has an older build installed.

conifer_proxy_vraymesh doesn't have the fileName2 attribute in it. This is a new attribute added in one of the 3.0 beta builds.

Can you give a bit more context, so we can try to understand what is causing the problem?
What have you done to make Maya generate this error?
Is this an old scene you're opening in new version of V-Ray or this is an older version of V-Ray?
Are you running some custom script that tries to modify the proxy?
