  • Vray hangs on building static racast accelerator...

    Hi All,

I was wondering if some one can help me. i am trying to render a background extension for an image we are working on. it is 13500 x 13500 pixel image. Vray seems to hang every time i try to render it as this resolution. I can render it at lower resolutions and its fine such as 75% of render resolution and no problems. Is there an upper limit to the resolution of Vray?

PS; i can't post the scene on here for everyone to see as it it confidential but if an admin wants to take a look i can upload it and pm the link

    cheers

Have you tried to render to vrimg or exr file and disable the vfb?

You can see here for the options: http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/V...mon-RenderView

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am rendering a multilayer exr through deadline and also getting the same results through Maya render view. vray fb is turned off.

      Will try just exr

      cheers

        Sorry, I've misled you.
You have to enable the VFB, but set the "Memory frame buffer" parameter to either None or Preview.
