  • File stalles rendering locally.. but renders fine using DR

This is the craziest thing i have ever seen.

I am on a MacPro late 2013, with 12 cores. All 12 buckets show up in the VFB as rendering starts , 2-4 buckets actually render, but the rest stall.

If i turn on LOCAL RENDER with DR, DR buckets render just fine. LOCAL buckets stalls, no local buckets render.

If i turn on my DR, this files renders fine with my 5 nodes.

If i turn OF DR on just render LOCALY file just stalls again.

I crated a simple test scene with 2 objects and 2 vray shaders and everything rendered just fine locally so vray looks like its working.

i THINK this is a Maya, glitch but don't know how to further the diagnosis.

    any suggestions or help?

okay i narrowed the problem down to one piece of geometry that i added a vray Subdivision node to. I deleted that one piece of geometry and everything renders just fine.

I found this by exporting all my groups and creating new scenes and importing one by one each group. as soon as i got to my walls group with the low rez railing, Vray locked up. delete railing, and it rendered. Not sure this is a bug but it was a game stopper for me.

Can you send to the support an example scene to reproduce this issue?
