  • Render Elements re-assemble issue

    Hello!
During R&D we are faced to couple issues with compositing passes. We can’t to re-assemble beauty pass when compound lights and reflections. Our aim is render selected lights in separated layers in accordance with given formula

Beauty = Global Illumination+ Lighting+ Reflection + Specular + Refraction + Sub-Surface Scattering + Self Illumination where lights can be represented as Lighting1+ Lighting2 + LightingX. The same index applicable to all passes relative to mentioned lights.

When we trying to re-assemble final, getting difference between beauty and final. You can observe that in the difference I’ve pulled to image. I suspect this is the issue with semi-transparent pass should be added on a top. Could you help us please?
    Many thanks!

Does the cloth have a translucent material? There's no way to isolate a V-Ray 2-sided material that I know of, other than adding the passes and doing a difference with the beauty like you did.

I think Vray2SidedMtl should work fine with the lightning pass. Could you please send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we could check the material set up.
Also the lights on the end of the hat can be extracted in a Self Illumination pass. Or you can enable the Direct Illum. option of the VRayLightMtl, if you want the light to be included in the Lighitng render element.
