Hi,
Just like render element "DR Bucket", would it be possible to create a similar render element to be used when not using DR?
We render regions on multiple machines (instead of using DR) because that ties better in with our render job queuing system. But from time to time we wish we could have seen which machine created a certain region without resorting to checking the coordinates of the tile and cross-check that with the render job's tasks.
I actually enabled the DR Bucket while not having DR enabled and I got a funny looking render element
Perhaps you could tweak the behavior of DR Bucket render element to accommodate to just show the hostname from the machine performing the render when DR is not enabled?
If so, please make this work when region rendering too. We region render using the Maya batch -reg flag. For example: mayabatch.exe -r vray -x 9592 -y 7323 -reg 3392 5087 2590 3884 -s 1 -e 1 someScene.ma
Cheers,
Fredrik
EDIT: I posted this, wrongly, in the "Problems" forum.. I intended to post this in the "Wishlist" forum. Please go ahead and move the thread if possible!
