  • mudbox vector displacement seam

    Hi,

    I rendered vector displacement.

    Seam is a problem.

    How could I fix seam?

    Best regards,

Vector Displacement is very sensitive to UV-seams and it will almost always produce unwanted result where different uv-patches meet.
The only possible way to fix this issues is to make the uv-seam not visible to the camera.

Another possibility is to use Ptex instead uv-mapping - please check the link bellow(its for 3DSMax but its the same thing in Maya):

there is something wrong with your vector texture...
if you import it back to mud and displace the object you also get this seams... normaly mudbox is able to import vector files clean back...

try to export your level0 and import it back to mud and bake between this two meshes... dont bake onto itself...
and bake an object space map...
