I was reading yesterday someone mentioning V-Ray is too "strict" when it comes rendering normals compared to other renderers. I have an issue too which I would like to report V-Ray 3 and Maya 2015 that seems to be related;
The mesh was imported but there is nothing wrong with it apart from ngons (normals are facing the correct way) (there are three separate meshes highlighted here).
As you can see in the render there are weird light issues.
When I render the same material in a blank scene that I have attached, it renders fine. Is there anything I can do to fix issues like this?
