  • UDIM render issue

    Hi there

I have been experiencing a very strange VRay issue.

Rendering an image as normal image sequence (image.1001.png) and then rendering the same image using <UDIM> (image.<UDIM>.png) the rendered image shifts very very slightly.

I have attached a few screen shots to highlight the issue. These are renders of a plane with standard 0 to 1 UV coverage and a texture checkerboard applied via the 2 techniques mentioned above. The difference is very slight so may not be instantly noticeable so I included a difference render too.

Normally a shift of this tiny magnitude wouldnt be an issue but I am working on a sprite crowd system that required very accurate use of UV space and UDIM tiles. When only viewing 0.1 x 0.1 of a UV space the difference is very noticeable.

Please let me know if there is a work around or a planned fix

    Thanks

Maybe try a different filtering method for the texture or even turn off filtering completely? I'll try to figure out what's wrong in any case.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
