  • VRayCurvature issues

    Hi,

I am having some issues with the VRayCurvature texture. It doesn't seem to like geometry that is rendered as subdivison surfaces. Rendering as OpenSubdiv does work better. In addition to that an option to render backfaces similar to the Double Sided flag inside the VRayDirt texture would be great. It helps a lot when we have to render CAD files with reversed normals that can't be flipped easliy. You can find a screenshot and the corresping maya file attached.

This is normal since the VRayCurviture evaluates the geometry before the rendering procedure and the subdivison smooth is happening on render time.

In addition to that an option to render backfaces similar to the Double Sided flag inside the VRayDirt texture would be great.
I will forward this request to the developers for consideration
