  • vrayDistanceTex and vrayDisplacement

    Hi!

I'm using the vrayDistanceTex for creating some CSG effects like described here:

    http://therenderblog.com/render-time...aydistancetex/

Now I want to subdivide my mesh while still rendering as CSG. Is this possible?

When I apply the distanceTex to the opacity of the unsubdivided model everything is fine. But when I apply a displacement set or add subdivision attrs to the shape the effect doesn't work anymore. Maybe vray doesn't know in which order the operations must be applied or something like that?

    Thanks a lot!

DistanceTex supports only meshes. If you want subdivision, you must subdivide it in Maya.
