Bit of a strange one this, and I'm not sure if this is just to be expected, but I was scratching my head to see reflection in my diffuse render element.
It turns out that if you set "Affect Channels" to "All channels" (to enable reflected multimatteIDs), it means that the diffuse element of a reflected object ends up in the diffuse render element on the object doing the reflecting.
This seems to be an odd behaviour, and not something I've noticed before... I guess, the parameter is true to its word, but it does seem strange. I would have thought compers would complain about this, but then again, maybe not; it means you can effectively adjust the full comp build of a reflected object in both direct view and in reflections (at least up to a degree).
